Alana Daly

Biography

I am a doctoral student of Social Psychology at the University of Granada.
My thesis is focused on dehumanization, its relationship to multiculturalist identities, and its role in collective action. I want to understand its effects (within both advantaged and disadvantaged groups), if a multicultural identity could influence it, how it affects motivation to participate in collective action, and how we can intervene to reduce it and promote intergroup cooperation.

Main interests

  • Social change, participation in social movements and collective action

  • Interventions to reduce prejudice, prevent dehumanization, and promote intergroup cooperation

  • Intergroup alliances from both minority and majority perspectives
