Biography
Mariela Bustos-Ortega is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Methodology for Behavioral Sciences at the University of Granada (Spain). Her PhD focuses on sexist attitudes against women gamers in online context, under the supervision of Dr. Hugo Carretero Dios and Dra. Mónica Romero Sánchez, in addition to the collaboration of Dr. Jesús López Megías. She has a predoctoral research fellowship for University Teacher Training (FPU, Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades, Spain) and she teaches in the Degree in Psychology. She is currently a member of the Infrastructure and Economy Commission of the Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC). Nowadays, she also collaborates in other research projects focused on the study of humor, personality variables and trolling behaviors in online environments.
